Since Frugal Baby is the root of what started this blog, I wanted to dedicate a post to her.
"There was also a prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel,
of the tribe of Asher. She was very old, having been married to her
husband for seven years until his death. She had lived as a widow since
then for eighty-four years. She never left the temple, worshiping with
fasting and prayer night and day. At that moment, she came up to them
and began to give thanks to God and to speak about the child to all who
were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem" (Luke 2:36-38, NETBible).
Now, she may not
be the most prominent character in the Bible, but Anna is definitely a
character that was close to God. She dedicated her life to serving him;
to the point that she 'never left the temple'. I hope Anna Marie will
grow to love God this much!
Anna's second name, Marie, is for my grandmother, whose middle name is Marie. I've only met her twice, but my grandmother is a wonderful, loving woman, that I hope will find a lot of joy in her namesake. She has taught my mom, my sisters, and myself so much.
Good night and God Bless
Frugal Mama
